Notice all the responses about this hypocrital behavior. We were told the "identifying mark of true Christians is this love amoung the brothers"
All the rude, unloving way we and many others are and were treated is not proving that.
This is why, after all this time of fading from this religion, I don't miss the judgy haters there at all.

I would have loved to say to that self righteous person, huh...and to think Jesus ate with prostitutes and tax collectors...
we had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.
fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.
i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

Hello, I am sorry for your pain. What you have to understand about this jw religion is simply just because he was not practicing the jw religion for so many years, doesn't mean he doesn't have the indoctrination of it still influencing him. He is what we call POMI (physically out mentally in)
Unfortunately I'm sure he has drawn the line in the sand that he wants you to study and become a JW. A lot of jws do not fathom unconditional love. The religion demands acts of service to demonstrate devotion. So much of the jw belief system is similar to high control groups and cults. Steve Hassan has a lot of great books that discuss how to help loved ones free themselves, bottom line he has to want to mentally free himself though!

so back when the borganization took over the congregations and their money when "forgiving" the loans for the mortgages, i seem to remember there was a congregation that stood up to them.
it didn't work, of course, but they caused quite a stir.
does anyone remember what congregation it was or any details where i could search and find more about it on here?
I think there was more- but when an elder or elders questioned things- dfed was the threat and sometimes the result of the questioning...
